Newcastle is one of our most exciting cities! We have been holding fairs in Newcastle for many years now and there’s still no sign of them slowing down! Previously at the Theatre Royal on Grey Street, our Newcastle fair has built a great reputation for authentic vintage and great entertainment!
What we love the most about Newcastle is how friendly our customers are and how supportive they are of the event – if we’ve got something coming up then we love seeing you all chat about it via social media! Keep up the good work folks!
Newcastle Does Vintage is now housed in the lovely Civic Centre Banqueting Hall! The Banqueting Hall was opened by HM King Olav V of Norway on 14 November 1968… Fancy! The Banqueting Hall is a mere 2 minute walk from Haymarket Metro Station and the end of Northumberland Street – opposite Newcastle University and very close to Northumberland University! Perfect location and with outside space available there is LOTS of potential!
Our Newcastle Vintage fair is home to everything from vintage fashion to vintage jewellery, homewares, tearoom and so much more! The idea of purveying vintage items and immersing yourself in forgotten traditions, trades, experiences and ways of life seems to tie in perfectly with this grandeur venue and we really enjoy filling this fair will vintage stalls representing everything which was great about past era’s, all the way from the 1920s up to the 80s!
Not only do we fill our Newcastle venue with a vast array of stunning, handpicked vintage – we also ensure that our customers experience a really fun and interesting day out! Customers can while away their day at the vintage tearoom whilst nattering to friends and family, get glammed up in our vintage beauty bar which represents everything glamorous and special from the fabulous 20s flapper to the sweetheart 50s and beehive bouffant 60s, or even tap your feet to our vintage acts on the day – whether they be a classic Andrew Sisters trio, funky rockabilly bands or even up-beat bands mixing old with new.
New for autumn/winter 2015 will we have a dancing session at 1pm at each fair and at 3pm ‘Ask the Expert’ will commence, which is a specially tailored talk or drop in service covering a chosen topic at each event – be it valuing your treasured items, an informative talk on vintage styling, the perfect victory roll or even a local history lesson! (Please check the Facebook page for more information).
We try and keep our prices as affordable as possible to tie in with the vintage ethos of affordability and sustainability; so all our fairs are just £2 (or just £1 with a Britain Does Vintage Card).
